This article from the English daily DAWN in Pakistan explains
that the team of doctors coming with the Indian relief delegation to go
along with MP Manzoor Ahmed and the Revolutionary Solidarity Caravan
have been denied access to Pakistan. We have received word that of the
members of the delegation, only the MPs have been given visas to enter
the country. This clearly exposes the rottenness of the Musharraf
regime and shows how little the dictatorship is concerned about the
victims of the earthquake. See an image of the actual article
here.
LAHORE, Oct 16: The government has not yet issued visas to
several Indian doctors who want to take part in relief activities here.
The doctors who have formed their teams for an organized relief work
are waiting for the clearance of the Pakistani government, PPP MNA
Chaudhry Manzoor says while quoting a message received here from New
Delhi. |
